SCiB™ powers electric go-carts at Suzuka Circuit.
World's first*! Novel attraction, Circuit Challenger

Suzuka Circuit's new attraction, Circuit Challenger, allows children to drive go-carts around its eastern course, an international racecar track known worldwide as the home of the F1 Japan Grand Prix and the Suzuka 8-Hour FIM Endurance World Championship.
On March 19, 2016, gasoline-powered go-carts on the course were replaced with cutting-edge electric models running on Toshiba's SCiB™ rechargeable battery.

Saikawa Co., Ltd.

Saikawa selected SCiB™ for use in its EDS-11 electric delivery system because of its long-life and safety performance proven in many automotive battery applications.

The EDS-11 can be used to rescue electric vehicles that have run out of battery power on the road, deliver electricity, serve as an emergency power source in the event of a disaster, and work as an optional 100-V or 200-V power supply for use at home.
The EDS-11 is subsidized by the Next-Generation Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Project.
