Characteristics

SCiB™ modules consist of multiple cells to obtain necessary capacity and voltage.

In the 2P12S and 2P9S modules, multiple cells are housed in a fire-resistant* plastic case and include a cell monitoring unit (CMU) for monitoring voltage and temperature, which can be transmitted through a Controller Area Network (CAN).
In the 5S and SIP24-23/SIP48-23, there is a battery management unit (BMU) and a charge/discharge circuit for ease of use, thus eliminating the need for adding complex external circuitry.

20Ah 2P12S and 20Ah 2P9S modules (for automotive applications)

The 2P12S module consists of 12 series connections of two 20Ah cells connected in parallel (24 cells), and the 2P9S module consists of 9 series connections of two 20Ah cells connected in parallel (18 cells).
Both the 2P12S and 2P9S modules provide large capacity while maintaining a high level of safety, long life and rapid charging performance.
These modules contain a board that monitors the voltage of each cell and the temperature at particular measurement points inside the module. The measured voltage and temperature data can be transmitted to an upstream device (for example, on the automotive electronics side) through an industry-standard CAN bus.
By combining multiple modules, a variation of automotive battery packs can be realized based on the application requirements.

Type3-20 and Type3-23 2P12S modules (for stationary and industrial applications)

The Type3-20 and Type3-23 modules consist of 12 series connections of 2 cells connected in parallel. The Type3-20 has a capacity of 40 Ah, and the Type3-23 has a capacity of 45 Ah.
These SCiB™ modules are suitable for applications that support social infrastructure including industrial, power grid and railway systems as well as for home applications.
They can be used for a wide variety of stationary and mobile power supply applications.

SIP24-23/48-23(Battery module with BMU) New

This battery module provides DC24V, or DC48V by connected two in series.
The maximum input/output current is 125A for 200 seconds.
BMU is equipped to monitor cell voltage and temperature and to prevent the over charge/discharge and over temperature.
Since little deterioration occurs even after charging/discharging with high frequency, it is suitable to high cycle operations such as AGV, Automated Guided Vehicle.
In addition to above, this module is applicable to the temperature as low as -30°C.
