Realizing efficient operations of electric ferries with a small capacity of battery
Ferryboats using SCiB™ can be charged during a short port stop to cover the electricity required for a round trip. This saves the need to install a large battery capacity that allows a ferryboat to continue traveling for a whole day, making it possible to secure wide cabin space. In addition, SCiB™, which features long life and high reliability, realizes safe and comfortable cruising even in an isolated maritime environment.

SCiB™ lithium-ion battery modules and related system components are the first in Japan to win approval from Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (ClassNK) for use in marine vessels.
